This week i have started planning with my partner what each of our roles are and what we will be doing during the filming period of our music videos, so far my job has involved getting the signatures of my waiver casts, which was permission from my crew to record them for my music video, I was also in charge of the job roles and responsibility's that i had to pick for me and my partner, i chose to be the director the reason for this being is that we chose to pick my video concept so, i knew exactly what i wanted to do for it and what i wanted to picture in my head, my partner was given the role of being camera man and management the reason for this being is that he took media last year and he is more experienced in the camera techniques and different kind of shots there are when filming for more information i have posted a separate blog called job roles and responsibility which outlines in more information on that matter. So far the project is on schedule and everything is up to date, however we did encounter some problems which was members for our cast the reason for this being was every one was not willing to participate in our dancing scenes however we did come up with a crew and are limited to the people that are going to join cast. Our plan for the week coming is to start recording our music video.

This week me and my partner have started to use our production schedule which tells, us what shots we have to record on what days and also tells us what locations we should use, without this our music video wouldn't come together and would be pretty useless in this case. The Friday gone me and my partner started to record the first shot for our music video, which consisted of me and my partner going to a friends party with some of our crew members and record shots for the firsts scenes of our music video,This fitted in our production schedule because all of our crew and cast members said that it was the most suitable day for all of them so they could all make it to the scenes,However we did encounter some problems with the music video which was the lighting, due to the music video being in a party the lights was turned of making it very hard to see when filming although we had the light on the cam recorder it was very limited to what the camera could see on the night however we did mange to shoot some of the scenes really needed for the music video.We also manged to shoot some shots outside which we got permission from the landowner to record on his property.

This week me and my partner have started recording in different locations which was on our schedule, so far everything has been going to plan except one location,because we looked through our location and the basement scene doesn't make sense for the music video we decided to scrap the idea.This week i have also started editing some parts of my music video with my partner, and have started to put the music video together, however we might need to retake a couple of scenes including the house location because my partner while recording forgot to use the rule of thirds and did not mange to get the scenes we really needed however i was partially to blame because i was ill during some of the recording and was not able to perform to my best of standards however that wasn't the only problems that we encountered, the other problem was that me and my partner thought that some of the scenes was to explicit and have thought about retaking them.Overall me and my partner are on schedule but still need to reconsider to retake a couple of shots. however me and my partner did mange to shoot some scenes today which was good news and have got a lot of camera techniques involved behind them.

This week me and Aarun have been working on our music video editing and have been asked to use final cut express due to the fact i movie was not compatible with the work which was set, however this has been to our advantage because Aaron as the editor has used the program before, and knows some of its functions. This week we have also manged to get some more editing done which was good and have managed to put a couple of shots together so, the music video looks like its getting somewhere however, me and my partner have been given a deadline which is two weeks away and it falls on a Wednesday,This deadline is for our first draft and is to be met otherwise we have failed the entire years course, thank god me and my are ahead of schedule and have managed to do what we have intended to do however we where considering taking more camera shots in different locations to make our video more exciting, we have also considered using more casts from different ethnic backgrounds to make our music video more wife ranged and to make it more accessible to a older target audience. Next week we are hoping that our music video is almost complete and that we encounter no problems so far everything is up to date and we are hoping for it to stay that way.

This week me and my partner have been working on our music video editing and have managed to put some effects in our music video for instance we have been able to cut scenes to the beat while using transitions, we have also manged to record in new locations, to benefit our music video we have also booked green screen for next week, so we can do our performance shots, however sir has made it clear that we need to improve on our music video in order to make it narrative. This week me and my partner had no problems except for one thing which wasn't my partners fought, which was he was ill so he didn't come in on Thursday which meant i had to do the editing by myself, however i had help from my teachers which was good and also good feedback from my classmates on improving my music video, and one of the main things was that my music video party scenes needed more brightness, which was a big problem due to the fact that if i wasn't able to fix them that i wasn't able to retake the scenes due to the fact there wasn't going to be another party for at leat another 2 months this meant that me and my partner had to consider that we might have to change out whole video concept and come up with an other idea to express the video in a party way. Next week thurday is our draft deadline which means me and my partner will have to do some overtime work and stay behind to finish of our music video draft, but overall everything seems to be going well even though we where confranted with some issues and had to sort them out.

This is the soft ware we have been using final cut exspress.This week me and my partner have been adjusting the final bits for our music video editing and have been trying really hard to make sure our music video makes sense however me and my partner encountered a problem, when sir said our music video doesn't make sense, so we had to start all over again and take new shots so me and my partner had to refilm in two different location including green screen so we, can add a performance to the video however me and my partner managed to scrap the party scences and managed to put together a clever pice of work which cut to the beat and managed to engage the target audience, Also we managed to get feedback from our classmates, which was really good because it gave us an insight where changes needed to be made and also what needed to be added to the music video. This week we also managed to finish our music video which was really exciting , because we have dedicated a lot of our time into it and also this means that we can start a new project.This week we are also hoping that we burn our music videos on to a cd which means we can take it home and show our family members our finishd product. overall me and my partner kept to schedule and managed to finsih the work on our given deadline.
